Our Story
Juan and Jean-Thereze, born in South Africa, dreamed up Jeanco Jewellers and became a reality in 1999 in a town called Hartbeespoort, South Africa. Moving to New Zealand they started a retail store in Auckland on the North Shore in 2009 then relocated the store in the Hibiscus coast before relocating to the beautiful South Island in 2019. They love the tranquility that Amberley offers here in the rural part of North Canterbury.
They wanted to bring a change to the jewellery industry by offering a service where they could give you an exact sample of the item you wanted made in 3D printed resin before the final one was made ensuring that what you receive in the end is EXACTLY what you envisioned.
Our mission as your personal Jewellers is to design and manufacture jewellery pieces that stand out from the crowd. We specialize in bespoke jewellery that tells your personal story through design and craftmanship. We strive to create a ring, pendant, or anything in your wildest dreams that shows off that uniqueness.
Through the years we have had many extravagant projects that challenge us to think outside the box, whether it be to add LED lights to pendants or create interchangeable body adornment pieces. We love creating jewellery that is like no other.
We are both Gemology Institute of America (GIA) jewellery, diamond and gemstone graduates giving us expert knowledge on the gems and jewellery that we work with on a daily basis.
